At Mama’s Mobile Mercantile, we believe creativity should be accessible, inspiring, and a little bit magical.
What started as a dream has grown into a one-of-a-kind mobile craft store built inside a vintage school bus. Instead of waiting for makers to find us, we hit the road, bringing creativity directly to communities throughout Kentucky and beyond.
Inside the bus, you’ll find carefully curated yarn, knitting and crochet supplies, craft kits, handmade goods, unique gifts, artisan products, and creative treasures you won’t find in big-box stores. Every item is chosen with the goal of inspiring your next project, whether you’re an experienced maker or trying a craft for the very first time.
But Mama’s Mobile Mercantile is about more than what’s on the shelves.
It’s about gathering around a table to learn something new. It’s about discovering a hobby you never expected to love. It’s about meeting fellow makers, sharing ideas, laughing over unfinished projects, and celebrating the joy that comes from creating something with your own hands.
Through workshops, community events, classes, farmers markets, and pop-up stops, we’re building a welcoming space where creativity has no age limit and experience isn’t required. Meet Mary
Hi, I’m Mary the founder, owner, and creative heart behind Mama’s Mobile Mercantile.
I’ve always believed that the best businesses don’t just sell products, they create experiences and bring people together. That’s exactly what inspired me to transform a vintage school bus into a traveling craft store where creativity, curiosity, and community can meet.
Like many makers, my creative journey started with one hobby and quickly grew into a love for all kinds of crafting. Crochet and knitting will always have a special place in my heart, but I also love exploring new creative projects, learning new skills, and encouraging others to discover the joy of making something with their own hands.

One of my favorite things about this business is getting to meet incredible people along the way. I’ve watched complete beginners finish their first projects, lifelong crafters share their knowledge with others, and strangers become friends simply because they stopped by the bus. Those moments are why I do what I do.
